Meet Senator Tony Ada

Senator Vicente “Tony” Ada is a lifelong public servant, businessman, and leader who has dedicated his career to building a stronger Guam. With experience in both the private and public sectors, Tony has earned the trust of our community by working with integrity, accountability, and a people-first approach.

Tony is a distinguished politician, beginning his government service in 2009 when he was appointed Director of the Department of Youth Affairs. Later that year, he won a special election to serve in the 30th Guam Legislature, marking the start of his legislative career. Tony has proudly represented the people of Guam in 31st, 32nd, 33rd, 36th, and 38th Guam Legislatures, where he has served as Minority Whip, Minority Leader, and now Vice Speaker. Throughout his time in public office, he has fought for good governance, fiscal responsibility, and policies that improve the quality of life for every family on our island. His legislative record reflects his commitment to strengthening our economy, investing in education, protecting public health, and ensuring public safety.

Beyond government, Tony is a veteran, a businessman, and a family man. He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve from 1986 to 1993. After military service, he entered the private sector working as an Aircraft Mechanic and later as Vice President Ada’s Mortuary, Inc. His leadership is rooted in the values of hard work, service, family, and faith.

Tony is married to Annette Unpingco Ada, and together they are the proud parents of four children: Leilani, Vicente II, Alejandra, and Amaya.

Now, as a candidate for Governor, Tony is ready to take his experience and vision to Adelup. Together with his running mate, E.J. Calvo is committed to restoring trust in government, creating opportunities for our people, and building a future where every Guamanian can thrive.
